ASUS Philippines has officially announced the affordable version of the ZenFone 5 smartphone
dubbed as "ZenFone 5 Lite" and is now available in the market. Asus Zenfone 5
Lite has inferior specs than it big brother but it retains its screen size at
the same time has a very attractive specs which includes the battery capacity.
This
new tablet is equipped with 1.2GHz dual-core Atom processor with HyperThreading
technology which makes it performs like a quad-core chip. Backed up by a 1GB
RAM and PowerVR SGX 544MP2 as the GPU.
Asus
ZenFone 5 Lite runs on the company’s uder interface called ZenUI on top of the
Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. It has a 5-inch display with a scratch resistance Corning
Gorilla Glass 3 layers, with 8MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera. This
is still a dual SIM smartphone with HSPA+connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0,
GPS with GLONASS and FM Radio.

As far as the other features are concerned,
you’re still getting an 8-megapixel PixelMaster camera, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of
storage. The Zenfone 5 Lite is around Php 1,000 cheaper than the regular
Zenfone 5, coming at around Php 5,595. It will be available in all authorized re-sellers nationwide starting next week.
